AFP-KS Endorses Kansas Senate President Ty Masterson for Governor
TOPEKA, KS – As first reported in the Sunflower State Journal, Americans for Prosperity-Kansas (AFP-KS) today endorsed Kansas Senate President Ty Masterson (SD 16) to be the next governor.
The endorsement gives Sen. Masterson the support of Kansas’ largest grassroots organization and its thousands of activists and volunteers across the state who will be reaching voters door to door every day to make the difference in this competitive primary election.
Elizabeth Patton, AFP Regional Director in Kansas, gave the following statement:
“This year’s election is a critical opportunity to elect a principled conservative leader to the governor’s mansion after eight years of constant blockades by progressive Gov. Laura Kelly that held our state back from its full potential.
“Sen. Masterson is a proven policy champion with a consistent record of prioritizing and accomplishing commonsense legislation and several veto overrides including major income tax reform, lowering the cost of living for Kansans and making our state a place where small businesses can grow and thrive. Just this year, Masterson led the charge to pass a transformative housing reform bill to make building and buying a home less expensive without costing the taxpayers a dime.
“Kansans can count on him to deliver the same steady leadership as governor, where he will put Kansas back on the path to becoming the best place to live the American Dream.”
Paid for by Americans for Prosperity. Margee Clancy, Treasurer.
