AFP-LA Advocates for Affordability, “Louisiana Rising” Agenda in Washington
Baton Rouge, LA — This week, Americans for Prosperity-Louisiana (AFP-LA) State Director Scott Simon and Director of Grassroots Operations Spencer Evans traveled to Washington to share AFP-LA’s Louisiana Rising agenda and advocate for affordability with the state’s federal delegation for AFP’s annual Capitol Conference.
AFP-LA State Director Scott Simon said:
“Our goal this week in Washington was simple: to make sure Louisiana families’ voices are heard and that policies reflect the challenges they face every day. From rising costs to limited opportunities, our Louisiana Rising agenda gives lawmakers a roadmap to make life more affordable and empower families to thrive.
“During our meetings, AFP-LA highlighted the urgent need to expand and fund school choice for students across Louisiana, advance transparent and affordable healthcare proposals, and pursue lower taxes by cutting waste, reducing red tape, and demanding results from the government. We are grateful for the opportunity to engage directly with Louisiana’s members of Congress and their teams on solutions that put affordability front and center.”
